SOMETIMES NO PLAN

INSPIRATION

Where does editorial photography come from? Visual storytelling?

Mostly there is no plan. Images and films happen organically.

I get motivated by a moment. A feeling. The way light is coming through a window. The warmth and heat from sun on my skin. How a shadow creates a mood. The way a towel feels.

That's the beginning. Without over-stylizing, keeping as much of the original feel and moment alive and realized as possible.

The result could be a photo. A whole series of photos. Even an entire short film. All originating from a real-life moment, a masculine ritual. That becomes the story.
